Cook County Public GuardianTuesday, July 20th, 2010
We recently had the pleasure of working on the web design and development of the new Cook County Public Guardian website. Public Guardian came to us with the desire to refresh their online presence with a particular focus on ease of use and full accessibility. Our web development and design team worked closely with the client to pull together the design that is now live at www.publicguardian.org. The three main branches of the Cook County Public Guardian are now clearly defined in the three main sections across the top of the page, and each has it’s own accent color when in a page of that section.
In order to maintain section 508 compliance and accessibility, our web development team first started with the basic structure of the design before adding the additional elements. This ensured that as many browsers as possible would be able to reliably render the site as it was intended. We constantly tested new features and pages in 6 web browsers ranging from 10 years old to the most cutting edge release. With all this attention to detail we’ve created a website that is widely visible and accessible.
