Kidney Cancer Calls on Chicago Producers for CMS

The Kidney Cancer Association set out to redesign their website with the help of Chicago Producers Web Solutions Team.  Kidney Cancer’s CEO Bill Bro said “we need a site that can be accessed in office using a CMS (Content Management System); with an updated, cleaner and easier to use design”.  With years of experience of installing, configuring and customizing Content Management Systems, Chicago Producers chose Joomla! as the new platform for  Joomla is an award-winning content management system (CMS), which enabled Chicago Producers to accommodate Kidney Cancer’s need for ease-of-use and extensibility. contains information from scientists and physicians who are experts in understanding and treating kidney cancer. Visiting is the first step.  The site is intended primarily as a resource for patients and medical professionals and the information presented is periodically reviewed by the Association’s medical and scientific advisors.

 The Kidney Cancer Association (KCA) is a charitable organization made up of patients, family members, physicians, researchers, and other health professionals globally. We fund, promote, and collaborate with the National Cancer Institute (NCI), American Society for Clinical Oncology (ASCO), American Urological Association (AUA), and other institutions on research projects.  We educate families and physicians, and serve as an advocate on behalf of patients at the state and federal levels.

The Association was founded in 1990 by a small group of patients, including Eugene P. Schonfeld, Ph.D., and medical doctors in Chicago, Illinois. It is a nonprofit charity incorporated in the State of Illinois. It has also been designated as a tax exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Service code.
